Chair of Governors
Ms Love joined the Governing Body in June 2025 as a Co Opted Governor. Her two adult children attended TSM and now her granddaughter is a student here. Ms Love has a varied background, having worked in Human Resources for The Port Of Felixstowe; as a Web based Application and Software Developer for BT and for the last 15 years as a small business owner in Felixstowe. Ms Loves subject link is Maths and she sits on the Resources Committee, EAL and Governor Recruitment as well as performing Chair of Governor duties.
Mrs M Bateman
Vice-Chair
Mrs Bateman is the Vice Chair and a Parent Governor with children in both Year 2 and Year 6 at Trimley St Mary. She has been on the school Governing Body since Dec 2024 primarily as Safeguarding Governor before stepping up to become vice chair in 2025. Megan has been a primary school teacher since 2013 and she now teaches at a Catholic school in Ipswich. She cares passionately about SEND, Safeguarding and pupil/staff wellbeing. In her spare time, Mrs Bateman enjoys walking her dog, spending time with friends and listening to music.
Mrs D Lewis
Governor
Mrs Lewis was appointed as a Parent Governor in June 2025, and her current term of office runs from 2025 to 2029. She brings with her a strong background in business management, with extensive leadership experience across a range of roles. Mrs Lewis serves on the Resources Committee as Vice Chair, alongside Terms of Reference and Pupil Discipline Committee. She is also the designated subject link governor for Art, Design Technology, and PE, supporting these curriculum areas and strengthening the connection between governors and classroom practice.
Miss H Panting
Governor
Miss Panting joined the Governing body as a Parent Governor in June 2025 and her current term runs until 2029. Miss Panting's background is in Operations Management having worked for East Suffolk Council for 16 years, providing her with extensive leadership, performance management and policy experience.
Miss Panting has governor responsibility for head’s performance management, the school website and the school code of conduct as well as being subject link for Science and learning outside the classroom, which both fit well with her academic background in Biology.

Mrs H Else
Governor
Mrs Else joined Trimley St Mary school's governing body in 2025, as a co-opted governor. She has a strong background in education and has experience of working with children from 3 months old to 11 years, and facilitates training for adults within both education and health care sectors. Currently, Helen is employed by the NHS, working within Knowledge and Information Management. She is link governor for the Early Years Foundation Stage, Special Educational Needs and Disabilities, Pupil Premium and Children in care.
